CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. man who refused to leave a woman’s home for two hours when she didn’t want him there was sentenced recently to five days in jail and ordered to perform community service.
Cory Joseph Morrissey, 39, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to interfering with the lawful use and enjoyment of property.
The court heard Morrissey was in the woman’s home and she couldn’t call the police because she didn’t have a phone.
Morrissey will be on probation for one year and must perform 30 hours of community service.
