CENTRAL PRINCE - RCMP are investigating a collision in western P.E.I. that left a 31-year-old man dead Sunday morning.

Prince District RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision at the Route 12 and Bideford Road intersection at approximately 7:20 a.m.

Police said the victim was the only person in the car.

An RCMP spokesperson said the incident was tragic, especially considering that it occurred on Father’s Day, and that officers’ thoughts were with the victim’s family.

Police said more details would be released in the coming days.
