SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The government of P.E.I. has issued an invitation to tender to complete the work of a roundabout that will be located at the intersection of Granville Street in and Route 2 in Summerside.

The tender was issued Feb. 1.

According to the tender, the project starts approximately 200 metres west of the intersection of Route 2 and Locke Shore Road and proceeds west for around 1,350 meters, as well as around 180 meters on Central Street and 470 meters on Granville Street to Roy Boates Avenue, a total of two kilometres.

The work will include cold planing existing asphalt, earth excavation, culvert installation, storm sewer and catch basins, installing concrete (curb, gutter, medians and aprons and other necessary work to complete the project).

The tender closes at 2 p.m. on Feb. 21.
