Another week, another three-cent jump in the price of gas.

For the second Friday in a row, the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission has approved a three-cent hike as of midnight, bringing the price of regular, unleaded gas to between 121.8 and 122.9 cents per litre at self-serve outlets.

The price of diesel and furnace oil both rose by two cents per litre in the overnight adjustment.

The price for diesel now ranges from 127.9 to 129.0 cpl, while the maximum price for furnace oil is 96.2 cpl.

Propane prices have increased by 0.7 cpl for Superior Propane; and will decrease by 0.3 cpl for Irving. Energy Distribution and Marketing, by 1.8 cpl for Island Petroleum, and by 0.9 cpl for both Kenmac Energy and Noonan Petroleum. Propane prices now range from 84.7 to 87.0 cpl.

The commission’s next scheduled pricing adjustment is March 5.
