Summerside council is considering its options to have the gazebo at Meadow Heights park either repaired or replaced.
The gazebo was discussed during Summerside's committee meeting at city hall on Aug. 4.
Coun. Carrie Adams said the park is well-used, but the gazebo has gotten to a point where it may no longer be safe.
"Something does have to be done on it."
JP Desrosiers, the city's community services director, said the gazebo was discussed while putting together this year's budget, but it wasn't budgeted. His department will look into what needs to be done, how much it will cost and where the necessary money can be sourced from.
