SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Two men involved in Wednesday’s police investigation on Cedar Street in Summerside appeared in court Thursday.
One man pleaded guilty to several offences and was sentenced, while the other was remanded in custody until a later date.
Paul Donald Pothier, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft under $5,000 and one charge each of resisting arrest, mischief and disturbing the peace.
Pothier was sentenced to a total of 85 days in custody.
Brandon Butler, 25, was remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Nov. 4.
Butler is charged with two counts of dangerous driving, three counts of prohibited driving, three counts of flight from police, obstruction, possession of a controlled substance, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
