A P.E.I. man is dead following a crash in Central Bedeque.

Jeremy MacCormack of Summerside has died from injuries sustained in the Feb. 13 incident.

MacCormack, the driver of the car, was taken first to Prince County Hospital, then was air-lifted to a Halifax hospital for further care, said RCMP Cpl. Nick Doyle on Feb. 14.

The two occupants in the truck were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police, fire and EMS responded to the two-vehicle accident on Route 1A around 5:30 p.m.

The main road was closed to traffic in both directions for over an hour between the Hogg Road to Route 171.

RCMP are still investigating how the incident happened but said on Feb. 14 alcohol was not a factor.
