O'LEARY, P.E.I. — The Town of O’Leary will cover one-third the cost of purchasing new badges for members of the fire department.

The estimated cost for the 28 badges is $2,100.

Since the badge is considered part of the uniform, and the town covers one-third of the cost of uniforms, council agreed to the estimated $700 expenditure.

The motion passed on a 4-0 vote with two councillors who are firefighters abstaining.
