O'LEARY, P.E.I. — In their first regular meeting since June, O’Leary town councillors formally endorsed a decision to go over-budget on sidewalk repairs.
The work has already been carried out.
Mayor Eric Gavin said about 1,600 more feet of sidewalk was repaired than had been approved during their June meeting.
“We just decided the price was good,” said the mayor.
The town ended up spending an additional $16,000 on sidewalk repairs than planned, but Gavin noted it was at least four years since the sidewalks received any amount of work.
