A P.E.I. man who said he intended to kill his victim when he stabbed him more than a dozen times with a pocket knife has failed to get a condition of his day parole changed.
Chase Joseph Douglas Aslantogmus was sentenced in 2018 to 37.5 months in prison for attempted murder after the stabbing in Charlottetown.

When the Parole Board of Canada granted him day parole earlier this year, it imposed several conditions, including that Aslantogmus must not consume any drugs other than those taken as prescribed.
Aslantogmus sought to have that condition changed, but the board’s appeal division denied his request saying he didn’t raise any grounds that would cause it to intervene.
