New Brunswick men face drug trafficking charges after P.E.I. authorities seize drugs, weapon

A woman has been charged after allegedly picking up a child from a daycare while she impaired.
Two New Brunswick men will face drug trafficking charges following a tactical vehicle stop in Summerside on March 26.

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Two New Brunswick men will face drug trafficking charges following a tactical vehicle stop in Summerside earlier this week.

The March 26 stop was conducted by the Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) Unit, comprised of RCMP, Summerside and Kensington police members.

As a result of the stop, the two men were arrested and police seized:

  • about a half pound of methamphetamine tablets (501) 
  • 42 hydromorphone capsules
  • 48 MDMA tablets
  • crystal methamphetamine 
  • cocaine 
  • cannabis 
  • other prescription pills
  • a replica handgun
  • a collapsible baton

The two men will be facing drug trafficking charges and will be compelled to court on a later date.

The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
