Another storm is expected to affect Prince Edward Island on Friday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for all of P.E.I. due to a low-pressure system moving up the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. on Thursday night and track over or south of Nova Scotia on Friday.
Precipitation is expected to begin as snow on Friday morning and transition to rain by late afternoon. That rain should then taper to flurries or showers overnight into Saturday morning. Strong southeast to easterly winds are also expected ahead of the system during the day on Friday.
Environment Canada said there is still considerable uncertainty in the exact track of the system, which will affect total snowfall amounts expected.
