The owner of a Summerside gym has been awarded a mobile sales establishment for his food service, Big Guy Bacon and Fry Company.

Corey Arsenault, owner of Stretch Fitness, is looking to operate the mobile food business on the grounds of the gym, located at 476 Central St., from April until October.

The proposed hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

This is Arsenault's first time applying for the license, but he has operated the business for several years at various special events.

Council approved the application on Tuesday during planning board and special council meetings through a Zoom conference call.

Coun. Bruce MacDougall raised parking concerns for the business saying the gym's parking lot is "already chock-full".

City staff told council the gym's parking lot extends around to the back of the building and parking would be available.

The motion was passed unanimously.
