SLEMON PARK, P.E.I. — Summerside residents are advised that soldiers will be training in the vicinity of Slemon Park from July 2-3.

The public is advised there will be increased military activity in the surrounding areas during the exercise.

Weapons, blank ammunition and pyrotechnics will be used and there may be increased levels of noise and personnel associated with this training.

There will also be military vehicle convoys on the highways and local roadways. The convoys will have minimal anticipated impact on traffic.

Members of the public are asked to follow safety instructions should they approach or encounter soldiers and vehicles during this training.

This type of realistic training is required to ensure the operational effectiveness of the Canadian Armed Forces.
