Military personnel from 1 Squadron, 36 Signal Regiment will be conducting a winter training exercise in Queens and Kings counties from Friday, Feb. 28, to March 1.

Soldiers will train in the Brighton/Victoria Park area of Charlottetown on Friday evening and will depart Charlottetown Saturday morning. They will move to various locations between Charlottetown and Summerside throughout the day on Saturday, conducting navigation and winter survival training.

On Sunday, the soldiers will be training with cross country skis at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale. The aim of this training exercise is to ensure the soldiers can operate safely in a winter environment.

Civilian pattern vehicles, one Medium Support Vehicle System (MSVS) and several military green pick-up trucks will be used for transportation and will conform to all civilian traffic laws. Participants will not be carrying weapons or ammunition.

The movement and activity of Canadian Forces vehicles and personnel will not pose a significant disturbance to the community.
