A post has been circulating in social media recently from someone who said the province is out of the measles vaccine.
According to the province, however vaccines are available.
A statement The Guardian received from Health P.E.I. said there is measles vaccine available for both children and adults across the province.
“Children receive measles-mumps-rubella-varicella vaccines through Public Health Nursing as part of the routine children's immunization schedule,” it read.
“Adults requiring a dose of measles-containing vaccine can call their local Public Health Nursing office to make an appointment. Wait times for the adult clinics will vary due to an increase in demand for adult immunizations."
