A 27-year-old Summerside man and a 20-year-old Charlottetown woman face charges related to theft and possession of controlled substance.
Summerside police responded to a call from concerned citizen regarding two suspicious people in the Walker Avenue area Nov. 26 at about 1:20 a.m.
As a result, the man faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime, theft from a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged at the correctional facility and will appear before a judge later today.
The woman, who was released from custody, faces charges of theft from a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
Police are reminding the public to keep their vehicles locked at all times and their valuables out of sight if they are leaving them in the vehicle.
