CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — One of Charlottetown's busiest intersections will be impacted this morning by line and crosswalk painting.
The city said in a traffic advisory the work on University Avenue, at Capital Drive and Spencer Avenue, will take place from 5-10 a.m. Painting is also scheduled for Malpeque Road at Saint Dunstan Street between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Sidewalk work is scheduled to take place in the following areas this week: Queen Street between Nassau Street and Emerald Drive; Pownal Street between Kent and Grafton streets; and All Souls Lane between Pownal and Rochford streets.
Kent Street, between Great George and Prince streets, will be reduced to one lane of traffic as part of the Fitzroy Parkade expansion project. Sidewalks within the construction area are also impacted and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes.
The lane closure will remain in effect until the completion of the project, which is anticipated to be the end of July. The parkade is closed until further notice.
