Arsenault pleads guilty

William Michael Ernest Arsenault, 31, of Summerside pleaded guilty to four counts of being at large before the end of his term of imprisonment had expired.

The charges are all from between Feb. 16 and March 23 in Summerside.

Arsenault was sentenced to six days in jail and must pay $400 in victim surcharges.

Charlottetown man sentenced

Cory Joseph Morrissey, 38, of Charlottetown pleaded guilty to assault.

The charge is from between March 29 and 30 in Lennox Island.

Morrissey was sentenced to serve 15 days in jail but received credit for six days already served. He must also serve 18 months of probation and pay a $100 victim surcharge.

MacDonald sentenced

Mary Laura MacDonald, 41, of Charlottetown pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon, a knife.

The charge is from Jan. 16 in Long River.

MacDonald received a conditional discharge, must serve 12 months of probation and pay a $100 victim surcharge.

Fisher fined

Tyler LaPierre, 31, of Summerside pleaded guilty to two counts under the Fisheries Act of fishing for lobster without holding a fisher’s registration card.

The charges are from Aug. 21 and 29, 2017, in Lobster Fishing Area 25.

LaPierre was fined $500.

Sharpe pleads guilty to fisheries charge

Anthony Evan Sharpe, 67, of O’Leary, pleaded guilty to one count under the Fisheries Act of having a quantity of lobster of a length less than 75 mm.

The charge is from Aug. 11 in West Point.

Sharpe was fined $1,000.

Cornwall man guilty to assault, uttering threats

A 44-year-old Cornwall man pleaded guilty to uttering a threat and assault.

The charges are from between Sept. 1 and 30, 2017, in Summerside.

There is a publication ban in place on this case, forbidding any information which could be used to identify the victim.

The accused was sentenced to 46 days in jail but also received credit for 46, he’s already served in custody since his arrest.

He must also serve 18 months of probation and must pay $400 in victim surcharges.

Central Bedeque man fined

SUMMERSIDE – Jason Ernest Gallant, 42, of Central Bedeque pleaded guilty to breaching his probation.

The charge is from between Jun 15 and Oct. 25 in Summerside.

Gallant was sentenced to pay a fine of $500 and a victim surcharge of $150.

Summerside man pleads guilty

Joshua James Jenkins, 28, of Summerside pleaded guilty to using a forged cheque.

The charges are from between May 8 and 11, 2017 in Summerside.

Jenkins was sentenced to serve seven days in jail and must pay a $100 victim surcharge.

Summerside woman pleads guilty

SUMMERSIDE – Deanna Jean Power, 45, of Summerside pleaded guilty to defrauding a Summerside business of less than $5,000.

The charge is from Feb. 10.

Power received a suspended sentence, must remain on probation for 12 months and must pay a $100 victim surcharge.

Hainge pleads guilty

Kyle James Hainge, 31, of Summerside pleaded guilty to breaching his probation.

The charge is from April 5 in Summerside.

Hainge was sentenced to serve five days in jail and 12 months of probation. He must also pay a $100 victim surcharge.
