SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Summerside city council approved rezoning to help clear the way for construction of an eco-industrial park.

The request came from the city's department of economic development.

About half the land in question Greenwood Drive was zoned for residential uses. The city wanted the entire property zoned industrial.

Monday night’s vote from council was the final approval for the rezoning.
