Islanders will be paying more to top up their tanks this morning after the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission announced a 2.5 cents per litre increase to the price of gas.
In its weekly price adjustment, IRAC announced the price of regular gas at self-serve outlets will range from 99.4 to 100.5 cpl effective today.
The price of furnace oil and diesel will increase by three cpl.
Prices for diesel will range from 108.1 to 109.3 cpl while the maximum price of furnace oil is 77.1 cpl.
IRAC is also changing its schedule during the holidays and will make the regular price adjustments on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
