Art Battle
Saturday, 7 p.m., P.E.I. Brewing Company, Charlottetown

Avery special Art Battle event for the holidays. On this night, the top Ottawa artists will create their work in teams of two. Original art can make a great last-minute Christmas gift. All work created is available for purchase by silent auction. Team 1: Jason Johnston and Sara Perry, Team 2: Ryan Allen and Michelle MacCallum, Team 3: Alexander MacAdam and Greg MacAdam Team 4: Jo Messett Jory and Laura Peric. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home.
