The local event will be at Credit Union Place, starting at 7 p.m. It will also be streamed online at the party’s Facebook page.

The other three forums will be held over the next month in Bloomfield, Charlottetown and Brudenell.

There are two people vying for the party’s top job: Rustico-Emerald MLA Brad Trivers and Stratford-Kinlock MLA James Aylward.

“Our leadership forums will let Islanders hear directly from Brad and James about the issues that matter to Islanders,” said Margaret Anne Walsh, President of the Prince Edward Island Progressive Conservative party.

Walsh also said that the leadership forums are open to the public and that the public will have an opportunity to ask questions, both at the meeting and online.

“We want our leadership process to be open, inclusive and engaging. That’s why we’re having early voting across the Island and by mail-in ballot over an extended time period. Our leadership forums will be another step in that engagement with Islanders, “ she said.
