Elections P.E.I. has made a correction to the 2019 Referendum count.

A clerical error was uncovered while reviewing the vote count.

While the correction does not ultimately affect the outcome, it does change the district count, adding one more district to the No side, and decreasing the Yes side by one district.

The corrected results show the Yes side took 14 districts, while the No side took 13.

The referendum commissioner will be submitting a full report on the 2019 referendum to the legislative assembly.
