The following are some traffic notes released by the P.E.I. government. Expect delays and plan detours accordingly.

Two overhead sign structures will be installed on Route 1 Sunday, July 5 on the east and west approaches to the Mason Road roundabout in Stratford.

Work is expected to occur between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. There will be two stoppages in traffic on Route 1 for approximately 30 minutes each while the crane lifts and places the sign structures over the road.

Road work began this week on the displaced left-turn intersection project at St. Peters Road and the Charlottetown perimeter highway.

Two-way, one-lane traffic will be maintained. Motorists are reminded to reduce speed, obey construction signs and traffic control personnel, and be prepared to stop. Traffic delays can be expected, and drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.

Work is expected to be complete in early September.

The Old Post Road bridge replacement on Maintenance Route 50260 in Crapaud will begin on Monday, July 6.

All traffic will be detoured onto the Trans-Canada Highway during the project.

Motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route if desired.

Target completion date is Sept. 11.
