MALPEQUE, P.E.I. —

Craig Nash will represent the Malpeque riding on behalf of the New Democrats in the upcoming federal election.

Nash, a Charlottetown resident, was unopposed for the nomination. He is a Holland College graduate in advanced computer studies, a former military member, a former small business owner and retail manager.

He believes in the leadership of party leader Jagmeet Singh and fully supports Singh’s plans for health care, the environment and housing, as well as reconciliation with First Nations people.

Prioritizing the environment is at the top of the list for Nash. One of his objectives as MP will be to institute an Islandwide electric bus transit system.

“It is critical that we introduce a free-fare, provincewide electric bus transit system and that all levels of government, private business and public funding can work together to make it a reality.”

Nash also understands the need for more family doctors on the Island and is fully supportive of the proposal to build a medical faculty at the University of Prince Edward Island.

Nash is devoted to making himself available to residents of Malpeque and bringing their concerns directly to Ottawa.
