SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — An Ellerslie man has pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a conditional license.

Jason K. Fitzgerald, 42, appeared in Summerside provincial court recently for an incident where he, while fishing under herring license conditions, had onboard his boat a gill net with a mesh size smaller than allowed.

The incident dates back to May 2019 near Belmont.

Fitzgerald was fined $1,000.
