Two more instances of counterfeit currency still being used were reported to Summerside Police Service on Wednesday evening.
Police released a statement last week warning citizens and businesses about the fake bills. The initial statement said the bills, were poor quality made from real paper, and the bills are smaller than real money but could be overlooked in a busy environment.
The clear security panels on the bills are either taped on or photocopied from another bill of a different denomination.
The bills recovered from the latest incidents were both $50.
The serial numbers on the bills were GHP7439466 and GHB7682758.
Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call police at 902-432-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
