CORNWALL, P.E.I. — Cornwall RCMP responded to five calls regarding break and enter incidents during the month of March.
Council’s package for it recent monthly meeting included an update on RCMP action in the town.
Two break and enters, as well as one attempted break and enter, occurred at residences on the Trans-Canada Highway while another occurred at an Elliot Drive residence.
Those four incidents are still under investigation, while a complaint of a break and enter at a Jessie Street residence was later deemed to be unfounded.
During March, RCMP also responded to four motor vehicle collisions in the town.
Two of the collisions occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway, while the others occurred on Ferry Road and MacKinley Crescent.
RCCMP responded to six impaired driving complaints and issued seven summary offence tickets.
Police also responded to four incidents under the Mental Health Act, with three individuals being transported to hospital for further assistance and the fourth incident being deemed unfounded.
On March 6, police responded to a complaint of public mischief at a Meadow Bank Road residence and laid charges.
Police also laid charges after responding to three complaints of possession of property obtained by crime.
