CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown’s parks and recreation committee is in the process of organizing a Forbes Kennedy Open House.

The event, to honour the former NHL great, is expected to be held June 8 at Beaconsfield Carriage House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

George Matthews has been confirmed as the MC. The event will also be an opportunity for the first Forbes Kennedy Volunteer of the Year Award to be presented.

Staff are finalizing the criteria for the award and the details to this open house.
