Canadian children are being invited to name the RCMP’s newest canine recruits.

The national police service recently announced the latest round in their long-standing puppy naming contest.

The winning names will be announced April 10 and there will be one chosen from each province and territory.

The contest is open to Canadian children younger than 14. Only one entry is allowed per person. The deadline is Feb. 28.

Children can submit names that begin with the letter "L" with no more than two syllables and nine letters.
