Charlottetown police seeking information on pedestrian, SUV collision

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Charlottetown police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV Thursday night.
Police said the collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. The pedestrian was waiting to cross at the Ellen’s Creek Plaza crosswalk when he was struck by a dark SUV travelling south on North River Road.
The SUV stopped and two females checked on the pedestrian. Police said once the females confirmed he was OK, they got back in the vehicle and left without providing any contact information.
Police would like to speak with the females, who are believed to be in their early 20s, and any witnesses that may have seen the collision.
