Charlottetown police arrest wanted man facing multiple charges

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 24-year-old Charlottetown man who has been wanted and evading police since Oct. 15 has been located.

Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit located and arrested the man Nov. 14.

Since Oct. 15, the accused has been linked to multiple thefts in the city.

In total, he is being charged with more than 20 criminal code offences, including theft under $5,000, breach of probation, mischief under $5,000 and failing to appear in court.

The accused remains in custody and will appear in Charlottetown provincial court later today for a remand hearing.

Two other people who with the accused at the time were also arrested in relation to a break and enter that occurred in Summerside.

A 41-year-old Charlottetown man and a 32-year-old Charlottetown woman were taken into custody and turned over to Summerside police.

They remain in custody and will appear in Summerside court later today.
