CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - A man and woman, both from Charlottetown, have been arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

As part of an ongoing investigation, members of the Charlottetown Police Services Street Crime Unit and the uniformed patrol division executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a Charlottetown residence on Dec. 23.

As the result of the search of the suspected residence, police seized a substantial quantity of methamphetamine pills, cash and several weapons.

The accused will both appear in court to answer to the charge at a later date.
