CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. woman facing three infanticide charges had her case adjourned Thursday until next month.

Shannon Dawn Rayner, 40, wasn’t in court where a lawyer appeared on her behalf before provincial court Judge John Douglas.

Rayner previously pleaded guilty to two counts of infanticide and was scheduled to be sentenced on those matters on June 5.

Crown attorney Valerie Moore told the court a pre-sentence report that was ordered for Rayner isn’t expected to be ready in time for the sentencing date.

All matters, including a third infanticide charge, were set over until June 5.
