BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. — Borden-Carleton residents can take their pick at the town’s tennis courts. At a recent meeting, council approved funds for basketball lines on the tennis court.

Mayor Charles MacKenzie expects the space will continue to be used for both sports throughout the season.

Council also heard quotes from three companies to refurbish the ball fields.

Councillors voted to approve the $5,623 quote to re-do the whole ball field, including gravelling three-quarters of the infield.

Since the ball fields are in demand already, council decided to approve the expenditure with the caveat that the cost could go down if a local farm ordered gravel at the same time.
