Alberton's Kenny Ramsay named PAPEI Paramedic of the Year

Resident serves as a Mobile Integrated Healthcare paramedic

ALBERTON, P.E.I. - An Advanced Care paramedic with Island EMS, Kenny Ramsay of Alberton, is the Paramedic Association of P.E.I.’s 2018 Paramedic of the Year.

Ramsay, who serves his community as a Mobile Integrated Healthcare paramedic, was described in his citation as being “well-known in the Western region of P.E.I. for going above-and-beyond duty to provide the best possible care and compassion for his patients”.

A letter of nomination also said, "there are very few of us respected in our community like Kenny Ramsay and the respect he receives is well deserved”.

Ramsay is also a firefighter, paramedic educator and Medical First Responder instructor.

The annual award recognizes a paramedic for excellence in professional and community endeavours through a process of peer nomination.
