GEORGETOWN, P.E.I. — A 50-year-old woman’s decision to drive drunk is costing her 17 days of freedom.
Rose Anne Molloy received the jail sentence recently in provincial court in Georgetown after being caught for driving impaired on March 1 in Brudenell.
Her reading was triple the legal limit.
Molloy is prohibited from driving for one year.
No fine was imposed but the woman was ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.
The mother of four, court heard, battles alcohol addiction but has been sober since the incident and is seeing an addictions counsellor.
