CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 55-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with impaired driving after police responded to a three-vehicle collision Wednesday evening.
Charlottetown police responded to the accident at the intersection of Kirkwood Drive and Queen Street at 7:20 p.m. on Feb. 6.
The collision occurred when a vehicle approaching the intersection failed to stop and rear ended the vehicle ahead of it. This in turn caused that vehicle to rear end another vehicle that was stopped in front of it.
All three vehicles sustained damage, and two of the vehicles were towed from the scene. There were no reported injuries.
Police determined that the driver of the third vehicle who caused the collision was displaying signs of impairment by alcohol and was arrested.
The accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
