SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Communities in Bloom judges Susan Ellis from Pembrooke, Ontario and Anne-Marie Parent from Beaconsfield, Québec will be evaluating Summerside from Thursday, July 18 to Saturday, July 20.
Summerside is participating in the 25th edition of Communities in Bloom and is entered in the Class of Champions – Medium category along with Rosemère, QC and Trail, BC.
Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and a focus on the enhancement of green spaces.
To prepare for the arrival of the judges, the city is urging businesses and residents to spend some time this week tidying up their properties
Communities are awarded one to five blooms based on the judges’ scoring. There are also bronze, silver and golf levels attainable for communities receiving five blooms.
