CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 23-year-old Charlottetown woman faces charges after police responded to a complaint of a man and a woman arguing on Queen Street early Wednesday morning.

At about 1 a.m. June 24, Charlottetown police located the pair and determined they had been involved in a verbal argument prior to police arrival.

While investigating this complaint, police determined the woman was intoxicated by alcohol and was arrested for impaired driving.

A small quantity of cocaine was also located on the woman.

As a result of the investigation, she was subsequently charged with refusing to comply with a breath demand and possession of a controlled substance and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
