CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A P.E.I. woman facing three infanticide charges had her case adjourned this morning until next week.
Shannon Dawn Rayner, 40, was not in provincial court where a lawyer appearing on her behalf before Judge John Douglas asked for the adjournment.
Rayner pleaded guilty in April to two counts of infanticide dating back to 2014 and 2016, along with an unrelated theft charge.
Earlier this month, Charlottetown police allegedly found the remains of a third infant after searching a shed.
Rayner has yet to enter a plea on a third infanticide charge in connection to that search.
Douglas adjourned the matter until May 23.
