SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — A woman and her two children evacuated their unit of a seven-townhouse complex on Jennifer Street early Saturday morning after a water pipe burst.
The pipe burst around 4 a.m. on Feb. 15, causing significant flood damage.
The family will be out of their apartment for several days for cleanup, repairs and safety inspections.
The Canadian Red Cross helped provide emergency lodging and food, and the occupants were able to retrieve some clothing from their damaged unit.
