One person was taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision at an east-end St. John’s intersection that had suddenly gone dark during a brief power outage just after 8 p.m. Sunday night.
An official on scene told the Telegram that the incident happened seconds after the outage at the intersection of Portugal Cove Road and Newfoundland Drive.

Two of the vehicles crashed together and one of them then collided with a third vehicle.
