Sept. 27 update: Nova Scotia reports no new COVID-19 cases for fifth consecutive day

Nova Scotia continues to have only one active case of COVID-19, as the province reported no new cases Sunday morning. 

All 878 Nova Scotia tests completed on Saturday were negative, resulting in the fifth consecutive day of no new cases for the province. 

However, an essential worker in the Western zone with the only known active case in Nova Scotia remains hospitalized in ICU. 

To date, Nova Scotia has 92,348 negative test results, 1,087 positive COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths

People are reminded to go to 811.novascotia.ca to determine if they should call 811 for further assessment if in the past 48 hours they have had or are experiencing a fever or have a new or worsening cough or have two or more of the following symptoms:

  • sore throat
  •  runny nose/ nasal congestion
  • headache
  •  shortness of breath
