More details on Nova Scotia's back-to-school plan amid the COVID-19 pandemic will be provided Friday.
Education Minister Zach Churchill and Robert Strang, the province's chief medical officer of health, will hold a news conference at noon.
The briefing will be an update to an announcement on July 22 that students would return to school Sept. 8. At that time, Churchill said desks will be placed a metre apart and the province will distribute masks, hand sanitizer and other personal protective equipment.
Masks will be mandatory on buses, in high school hallways and common areas. Also, there will be no access to lockers in any school.
