Ontario Provincial Police officers stopped a 19-year-old driver speeding down Highway 401 in the pouring rain early Wednesday with a bong in his lap.

The driver — he held a restricted G2 licence — was doing 158 kilometres an hour, according to East Region OPP. He had both a bong and cannabis in his lap.

The driver, a university student from Toronto, has been charged with stunt driving and having cannabis available in his vehicle. His car was impounded and towed, and his driver’s licence suspended.

G2 drivers are banned from having any alcohol in their systems.
