SYDNEY, N.S. — A Sydney man is now listed on a national list of missing people.

Michael Gerald Steele, who would now be 40 years old, was last heard from by his family on March 14, 2019.

A Cape Breton Regional Police spokesperson says there is nothing new in its investigation of Steele’s disappearance, adding it remains an active investigation and police continue to follow up on any information.

Police and family members hope someone steps forward with new information on Steele’s whereabouts.

Steele is described as five-foot-ten and weighing 155 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with any information about Steele’s disappearance is asked to call Cape Breton Regional Police Service: 902-563-5151, 902-562-8477; www.capebretoncrimestoppers.ca, 1-800-222-TIPS(8477); or is asked to send an email to the National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains at: canadasmissing-disparuscanada@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
