The University of Regina announced the appointment of a new President and Vice-Chancellor in a press conference Monday morning.

Jeff Keshen will become the university’s eighth president when he assumes the role on July 1.

Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Keshen is currently the Vice-President of Memorial University’s Grenfell campus.

Keshen stated in the press conference, that he will focus on developing new and comprehensive mental health programs for students as well as improving access to mental health services.
