P.E.I-based Gocanna will host the province’s premier cannabis conference and exhibition on May 25, bringing together cannabis experts from across Atlantic Canada.

The Atlantic Canada Cannabis Conference and Expo (ACExpo) will be held at the P.E.I. Convention Centre and is set to showcase the region’s cannabis industry with a full day of cannabis-focused presentations, interactive workshops, industry networking and an exhibition hall of both local and regional businesses.

Shaman Ferraro, Gocanna founder and CEO, said Atlantic Canada is already an industry leader in its own right.

He cited the first provincial memorandum of understanding for recreational cannabis supply was in New Brunswick, the first legal cannabis retail sale was in Newfoundland, the highest per-capita retail sales after legalization is in P.E.I. and the highest per-capita rate of consumption in Canada is in Nova Scotia.

The ACExpo is the first of its kind in the region and has already received significant interest from stakeholders from all four of the Atlantic Canadian provinces.

Ferraro said nowhere else in Atlantic Canada have adults had the opportunity to discuss recreational cannabis directly with the industry professionals who are shaping it.

As required by law, attendees must be over the age of 19 to participate in the ACExpo. For more information, visit ACExpo.ca.
